Open Salsa Competition
Competitors must register by Friday. Either register online by 12 pm or register in person at the event by 7 pm.
Winners of the Open Salsa Competition will qualify for the 3rd Annual World Latin Dance Cup (December 2012).
Additional prizes will also be rewarded!
Salsa Musical Chairs Contest
There will be a fun open-level Jack & Jill contest held during the workshops lunch break (Saturday afternoon 12:45 pm - 1:30 pm).
This contest is open to everyone. No partner or routine is required. Simply show up ready to dance and have a good time!
$250 in cash and prizes will be awarded!

Rules and Judges
The competition will be judged by a panel of international judges.
World Latin Dance Cup competition rules, available here, will be used except as otherwise noted.
Winners will qualify for the 3rd Annual World Latin Dance Cup (December 2012).
No restrictions will be enforced on music selection for routines.
A 2-minute limit will be imposed for routines in all divisions.
All divisions are open (i.e. lifts and tricks are allowed).
A minimum of three (3) competitors need to sign up for a division for a competition to be held. If this minimum is not met, we will cancel that division and refund registration fees paid ahead of time.

Amateur Couple Division
Open amateur couple competition
Rules for the World Latin Dance Cup concerning amateur status will be enforced. If you compete in the amateur division, you cannot also perform with a professional team.
Over 65 Couple Division
Open couple competition
The competitors must have a combined age of over 65 years.
Pro-Am Couple Division
Open pro-am couple competition
Each couple shall consist of one professional dancer and one amateur level dancer. Rules for the World Latin Dance Cup concerning amateur status will be enforced. If you compete in the pro-am division as an amateur, you cannot also perform with a professional team.
Professional Couple Division
Open professional couple competition
All styles (e.g. On 1, On 2) will be combined.
Amateur Team Division
Open amateur team competition
